Drake - Find Your Love

Well I might as well put up some more of the new joints I played at the radio show on saturday? Here goes another one, this is the new Drake produced by Kanye West. Drake sings the whole track. No rap. Yeah, thats right so if your one of those "rappers are supposed to rap"/"fuck Kanye West" dudes, dont even bother to listen. If you are a little more open to other styles or if your a female and under 26...This should be right up your alley (no pun intended)...

In case you're wondering, yes I like the shit. There is plenty of room for Kanye, Cudi, Drake, T-Pain and every other rapper/singer you hate in the game. If Drake is selling it doesnt mean you have to buy it! If Kanye is doing good it doesnt mean you have to go to his show...Stop complaining and enjoy whatever the hell you like and let everyone else enjoy whatever the fuck they like. I like some crazy shit! You dont need to like it too...and you dont need to download it or to waste your time writing how much you despise it on the net. If I see a post about Soulja Boy, I jump over that bitch and check the next one... Do the same and stop crying like a little baby... there...got it all out. Enjoy or not:

Jay-Z Ft. Drake + Jay-Z Ft. Michael Jackson

So I've been waiting for this joint since I heard about it a couple of months back, yes there are still tracks that you cant get a hold of on the net and that you actually have to wait for and look forward to:

I gotta say I was a little disapointed. I am always happy to get a new Jay joint either way, but the concept of a Timbaland produced Jay & Drake joint sounded completely difrent in my head. Beat wise, I didnt expect a club joint, but a slower doper beat with some Timbaland bounce to it, and I expected a witty verse from Drake, not a chorus. With that said, heres the joint, Jays verses are still dope as expected and its worth checking out, but I guess I have to look forward for "A Star Is Born" with J. Cole instead.
Here is the track list and producer credits for The Blueprint 3:

1. What We Talking About (Produced by Kanye West)
2. D.O.A. (Produced by No I.D.)
3. Weigh Me Down Feat. Kid Cudi (Produced by Kanye West)
4. Unforgiven (Produced by Kanye West, Additional Production: MGMT)
5. Run This Town Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West (Produced by Kanye West)
6. Empire State Of Mind Feat. Nas (Produced by Kanye West & No I.D.)
7. When It Comes To This (Produced by Timbaland)
8. Always Feat. Drake (Produced by Kanye West)
9. Scenes From The Past (Produced by No I.D., Co-produced by Kanye West)
10. Everyday A Star Is Born Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)
11. Already Home (Produced by Kanye West)
12. Forever Young Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)
13. Thank You (Produced by No I.D.)

Bonus Tracks:
14. Sound Of The 70s (Produced by Kanye West)
15. We Made History (Produced by Kanye West)

And here is a joint that popped up on my e-mail a couple of days ago. Its just a mix of a bunch of old verses and it has a classic sample you'll recognize very easily, but I like it so I thought I'd share it with you guys:

Jay-Z Ft. Michael Jackson, Method Man & Mos Def - Fire In The Eyes

Drake Ft. Kanye West, Lil' Wayne & Eminem - Forever (Video)

The video's out. Another one of Drake's INSTANT CLASSICS !

FUN FACT: Remember hearing a earlyer version of the track with Weezy, Drake and Kid Kid one year ago on the Young Moula Baby mixtape I reviewed for Kingsize magazine in the OCT/NOV 2008 issue.

FUN FACT 2: Notice Slaughterhouse behind Em' in the video, mad rumours about Em' signing them goin round, it would be dope for them to get that exposure, theyre album's dope.

Drake Ft. Lil' Wayne - Miss Me (Video)

So Drake is out with a new video for "Miss Me" but he might as well not have put out nothing at all. Drake, I'm trying hard to stay interested, but with the same monotomous flow on every joint, lines like "your bitch is as hot as ice" and a boring ass video like this what am I to do? Take a year off and get back at me with some dopeness agan will you? Anywho, video after the jump if your a fan like me and you can't help but to watch it either way...

BONUS: Drake - Over (Dj Deville's Bombs OVER Baghdad Remix)

Drake - Find Your Love (video)

NIIIIICE! I was kinda scared that Drake was gonna use "Shut It Down" A.K.A. that lame excuse for a song A.K.A. the musical massacre A.K.A. the 18th century torture chamber he made with The Dream a couple of weeks back as a single...I actually like "Find Your Love" and its been doing damage on the net, the radio show and the clubs...so it was a good choice. Dope with the Mavado video feature, maybe a remix is dropping later? HIT ME UP! In case you didnt get a hold of the track before here it is:

Drake - Best I Ever Had

Finally! Supa Fresh favourite Drake's video for "Best I Ever Had" off the mixtape of the year that should have been an album So Far Gone. If you haven't downloaded it do it immediatly HERE. Drakes album Thank Me Later is rumoured to be out this fall, I hope he does 100 more features and mixtapes meanwhile. He's already on Mary J. Bliges first single off her new album "The One" produced by Darkchild and the remix of Jamie Foxx's new single "Digital Girl", so I think we'll be alright. Oh yeah, the video is directed by Kanye West...(pause)...just watch it:

Mary J. Blige Ft. Drake - The One

Finally the video is out! This was a great start for my day. Honestly, I don't even care if Mary is using vocoder on there...when you can sing like Mary it doesnt sound half as retarded, its more like a reverb, filter or any other effect to add depth, detail or an extra touch to your voice. Drake does his thing too:

Dj SoulShock - Supa Fresh 39/09

This is the Supa Fresh 39/09 update. Listen/Download here:

It took some time to put this update together so leave a comment if you liked it and want more of these and I just might drop them weekly. Meanwhile, enjoy this one and the track by track breakdown:

1- Omarion Ft. Lil' Wayne - I Get It In
Seems like Lil' Wayne is stacking R&B features this year as well. Britney Spears, Madonna (more under), Keri Hilson and now Omarion. I can't hate tough, Weezy gives every R&B joint  he spits on a grimmy feel with his witty wordplay wich can at times be dirty and slightly pornographic but always ends up being funny. Now back to the track, Omarion never sounded like this before, he's riding the beat like a Lil' Wayne "Lollipop" clone Version Mega 2009 now with singing lessons. Lil' Wayne does exactly what I expected him to (prior to the rock era that is), without delivering one of his best verses, he still manages to fit a "It's too big, it's too wide, but I get it in..." in there (no pun intended).

2- Drake - Fear
In my opinion this is one of Drakes best lyrics ever, fuck it, I'll go as far as saying its one of his best tracks. It's jam packed with lyrical greatness and personal deepness. The chorus crowns this masterpiece like a Dwele chorus on a Slum Village joint. Drake is a legend in the making and for this once, BELIEVE THE HYPE! I'll quote 3 lines just to get you in to it:

"No autotune, but you can feel the pain"

"I be getting high just to balance out the lows"

"Know I pop bottles cause I bottle my emotions"

3- T.I. Ft. Young Dro - King On Set
Its great to hear T.I. on a fresh club banger. This one will be on heavy rotation for a while. Serious head nodding material.

4- Red Cafe Ft. Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Fabolous, OJ Da Juiceman & Diddy - Hottest In The Hood (Pt.2)
All-Star Line up, dope beat, what more can I say? Everybody does theyre thing on there but Fabolous definetly takes the best verse and line home:

"Who wants to be the new single and get thrown in the bag"

5- Lloyd Ft. Juelz Santana - Pusha
Both of them are back on track. Lloyd's best leak in the last few months eventough the hook and chorus remind me of Henok's "Pusher" (he did open for Lloyd in Stockholm, maybe he checked the joint out then? I'm just saying...). Juelz rocks this just right too:

"She got me higher then the weedspot, somebody call Dr. Dre I need Detox..."

6- Bluey Robinson Ft. Ryan Leslie - I Know (Remix) (Prod. Ryan Leslie)
Bluey Robinsons "I Know" went from average R&B joint to certified heat with this remix. Typical Ryan Leslie production, drums and groove with a old school twist provided by the heavily sampled synth melody of Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five's classic "The Message". Without trying to take any credit from Bluey Robinson wich has an amazing voice and along with Johnta Austin is definitely one of my favourite new R&B artists and one of the few breaths of fresh air in the otherwise dried out originality void that has filled the R&B music industry the last few years, it's obvious that Ryan Leslie has the Midas touch, this is just another example.

7- Ghostface Killah Ft. John Legend - Let's Stop Playing
My favourite Ghostface joint in a long time. It's the same Ghostface I grew up on with a little touch of that John Legend soulful voice, harmony and keys. I'll throw in a couple of adjectives to strenghten my opinion: timeless, beautiful, priceless, soulful, feel good, HIP HOP (note the use of capital letters)...

8- The Lytics - Big City Sound Girl
The Canadian group The Lytics have a 90's Souls Of Mishief sound but still manage to do theyre own thing and sound current somehow. This is theyre first single but I encourage you to check out more  of theyre music at theyre myspace: http://www.myspace.com/lytics This is blissfull music!

9- Alicia Keys – Doesn't Mean Anything:
Fresh off the "Empire State Of Mind" feature on Jay-Z's Blue Print 3 and a great performance at the VMA's, Alicia Keys finally leaks what seems to be the first single off of her new album squeduled to drop in November. "Doesn't Mean Anything" might as well have been on her last album As I Am released in the end of 2007, tough the subject of the song might not be all that original, if you enjoyed ”No One” (wich is by the way very similar), ”Like You’ll Never See Me Again” or "Superwoman" than this track should fit like a J Dilla joint on a sunny sunday afternoon.

While we're at it, I think Whitney Houston diserves to be praised like a Greek godess and "I'm gonna let you finish but..." I can't help but to think how much better the Swizz Beats produced "Million Dollar Bill" (off of her new album I Look To You) would be if Alicia Keys, that wrote the lyrics, would have of kept it for herself. Whitney is a great singer but its hard not to picture Alicia in my head everytime I hear the song.

10- Mike Bivins - Fresh (Prod. Clinton Sparks)
Mike Bivins also know as Biv was the founding member of both the 90's R&B groups Bel Biv Devoe and New Edition. He also discovered both Boys II Men and 702! Now that should be enough to get you interested in his work. His first solo track "Fresh" samples Remy Ma's "F-R-E-S-H" that was one of the biggest joints out last time I was in N.Y., it was literally everywhere! Hot 97 had it on heavy rotation  and every single ride and shop in Harlem was bumping it like crazy. The "F-R-E-S-H" sample opening definetly caught my attention, when the beat kicked in I knew I'd be playing it and when he suddenly sang "She's supa fresh, su-supa supa fresh" there was no doubt in my mind that this would be the Supa Fresh anthem for a while. I've been waiting for a Supa Fresh joint for a long time! Thank you.

11- Keri Hilson - Around The World
This track should have been released around the time Kanye Wests "Stronger" and Timbalands "The Way I Are" with Keri Hilson were poppin. It's basically a blend of the two and would have made a lot more sense back then. With that said, this is a R&B hit with all the required ingredients. If that's what your in to than this track should be right up your alley.

12- Wale - Sweetie
For those of you that didn't know, Wale was born Olubowale to Nigerian parents. This tropical Soca/Funky House influenced track wich is included on his Attention: Deficit album due in November (if the tracklist still applies after being pushed back twice) honors his Nigerian roots. I'm not sure if the chorus is sampled or if the vocals were just tampered with to achieve that analog/mono effect, but it's catchyer than a Akon weeee-oooooh and with the right video it could be his best cross-over single.

13- Madonna Ft. Lil' Wayne - Revolver
At the writing time I am struggling with my inner feelings of retarded Hip Hop realness and ignorant closed minded repugnance for female pop singers ...there... got them under control. This is, surprise surprise, a great Pop tune. I'd expect Britney to be all over it tough, it would make much more sense as it fits her current sound much better and the vocals seem like they have Britney written all over them. With that said, this could easily be a huge hit if they choose it as a single and shoot a visually appealing video for it (wich shouldn't be a problem with Madonnas budget). Lil' Wayne brings his A-game probably out of respect for grand ma'donna and highlights his own metaphorical skills to follow the love/revolver metaphor used throughout the tracks lyrics.

"I gave her extra rounds, my barrell twist around, I am mr. shoot 'em down, I leave hearts on the ground..."

14- Twista - Wetter (Benny Stixx Remix)
A great uptempo remix of Twistas freaky slow jam "Wetter" architeted to perfection by B-More dj Benny Stixx. I love the original and I was really happy to find a good uptempo remix I could bump in the club, so I thought I'd share it with you guys as well.

"Can you be my daddyyyyyy..."

15- Cassie Ft. LMFAO & Akon - Let's Get Crazy
This collabo was unexpected, even stranger was listening to the instrumental with "Me & U"/"Long Way To Go" Cassie over it. It should stand LMFAO Ft. Cassie & Akon instead of Cassie Ft. LMFAO & Akon, it's almost like false advertising. This sounds nothing like a Cassie track, it's an electro-blog club banger and the instrumental reminds me of a lot of Crookers productions era "Day N Nite" and "Work". If you just stripped Cassie and Akon off the track it could definetly be LMFAO Ft. The Crookers or vice-versa. So first Akon goes House and now Cassie goes blog-electro, what's next? Marilyn Manson singing Christmas carols?

J. Cole !!!

J. Cole is oficially up in the Supa Fresh favourites hall of  talent! I posted his first video for "Simba" a while back (click here to check it out) and if you havent been following, J. Cole was the first artist signed to Jay-Z's label Roc Nation. Now I know all off you are going to flip on the next line, but I gotta say what I feel, I mean, its my blog damn it! Hehehehe...so, I think Drake is mad talented, I love his music, his mixtape is crazy and he is the full package as an artist and an entertainer. With that said, J. Cole is a much better lyricist. Alright, now you can start hating on that last line. But be sure to check out his The Warm Up mixtape that you can download here or by clicking the mixtape cover on the right side of the blog.

He also sampled my favourite singer in the universe Sara Tavares on the bonus track of his mixtape, so here is a video of him performing the unplugged version of it:

Very excited about this dudes music (no homo). Hope he lives up to the expectations If your too lazy to download the mixtape or if you want more info on J. Cole you can check out his myspace ... F#%K THAT,  I LOVE THE WARM UP AND I THINK YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD IT HERE!
