NY-Z (documentary)

This is kinda like the Fade To Black DVD except it was made for The Blueprint III and in collaboration with Absolut Vodka wich sponsored Jay-Z's 9/11 Memorial Concert at Madison Square Garden. Shot by photographer and film director Danny Clinch NY-Z is as the Fade To Black DVD a fantastic insight in to Jay-Z's work, thoughts and creative process this time cut short in to a 15 minute documentary. If your a fan of the man or the music you should definitely check it out!

The Big Band Blueprint (Preview)

I can't wait for this mixtape to drop! Ritchcraft is putting together a remix mixtape of one of my favourite albums of all time Jay-Z's The Blueprint, nothing new there, we've all seen 100 similar tapes on every Jay album that ever dropped, but this one has a twist that really got me on my toes... Ritchcraft is mixing it with Jazz joints! Sounds great right? Now first thing I thought was, sounds great in theory but can dude pull it off or will this just be another failed attempt to recreate that Jazzmatazz (big up Guru!) feeling on a mixtape? I answered that question by listening to the two first tracks to be released, you can do the same and be sure to chek back in for the full dowload as soon as the mixtape drops.

Jay-Z Ft. Drake + Jay-Z Ft. Michael Jackson

So I've been waiting for this joint since I heard about it a couple of months back, yes there are still tracks that you cant get a hold of on the net and that you actually have to wait for and look forward to:

I gotta say I was a little disapointed. I am always happy to get a new Jay joint either way, but the concept of a Timbaland produced Jay & Drake joint sounded completely difrent in my head. Beat wise, I didnt expect a club joint, but a slower doper beat with some Timbaland bounce to it, and I expected a witty verse from Drake, not a chorus. With that said, heres the joint, Jays verses are still dope as expected and its worth checking out, but I guess I have to look forward for "A Star Is Born" with J. Cole instead.
Here is the track list and producer credits for The Blueprint 3:

1. What We Talking About (Produced by Kanye West)
2. D.O.A. (Produced by No I.D.)
3. Weigh Me Down Feat. Kid Cudi (Produced by Kanye West)
4. Unforgiven (Produced by Kanye West, Additional Production: MGMT)
5. Run This Town Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West (Produced by Kanye West)
6. Empire State Of Mind Feat. Nas (Produced by Kanye West & No I.D.)
7. When It Comes To This (Produced by Timbaland)

10. Everyday A Star Is Born Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)

And here is a joint that popped up on my e-mail a couple of days ago. Its just a mix of a bunch of old verses and it has a classic sample you'll recognize very easily, but I like it so I thought I'd share it with you guys:

This track was bangin out my speakers all weekend. So its only right I share it with you guys. Its the first one off the Notorius soundtrack and Jay-Z even pulls out some patois on it. For those of you that dont know what I'm talking about Notorius is the movie about the Notorius B.I.G. out January 16th with amongst others rapper Gravy as B.I.G. and Angela Basset as his mother. Check it out the trailer and the track under:

Can somebody hit me up with some more of this? I need it like a crack fiend!

THE BLOKE FROM OASIS CHANGED HIS MIND...HEHEHE

Taken from Hiphopdx.com:

When Oasis' Noel Gallagher made his infamous comment several months ago he probably didn’t expect Jay-Z’s success to pan out the way it did.

Not only did Hova mimic Noel onstage with a “Wonderwall” impression, but the Glastonbury Festival performance sold out, something Gallagher believed wasn’t possible with a headlining Hip Hop act. Immediately afterward, “99 Problems” jumped back on the UK singles chart. And to put a nail in the coffin, Jay-Z’s newest single from The Blueprint 3 addresses Noel’s foot-in-the-mouth comment ("That bloke from Oasis said I couldn’t play guitar / Somebody should have told him I’m a fucking rock star").

Now in the recent issue of NME Magazine, Gallagher attempted to change his stance on Jay-Z. “I wasn’t saying I was better than Jay-Z as a person or rock was greater than Hip Hop as a thing or whatever it is. I said what I said, and it was wrong, or it was taken wrong, and now all this.

He went on to explain that his intentions were never to start a conflict, and that he can see them hanging out in the near future. “For my own part, I can sit here and say I never dissed that guy. I never would. But there’s no point in going on about it, because you end up sounding like Heather Mills: ‘I said this! I meant that!’ I’ll have a beer with him one day and it’ll all be fine.

To end it, Noel stated he’s past the whole ordeal. “He knows that I was misrepresented, as I guess he was, so let's move on.

PERFECT DAY!

Sun, Strawberry Daiquiri, smoke and "Jockin' Jay-Z" (the hottest track of the year yet) on my gmail inbox...It don't get much better than this.
